Apple’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Tim Cook stated the company has exceeded its expectations from the two company-owned stores in India even as the iPhone maker posted its all-time highest-ever sales in the country last quarter led by smartphones.

India’s sales of the iPhone have increased by "strong double digits" for the company.

Mr. Luca Maestri, Apple's Chief Finance Officer, added that the business set "an all-time record in India." This boosted Apple's sales in the Europe sector, which includes sales in emerging markets including Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and India.

Mr. Tim Cook added that the company’s first two retail locations in India are now performing better than expected. According to the Apple CEO, India is the second-largest smartphone market in the world, so the company "ought to be doing well there."

After Vivo, Samsung, Realme, Oppo, Xiaomi, and OnePlus, Apple was the seventh-largest smartphone brand in India in the April-June quarter, according to market research firm IDC. IDC said Apple’s iPhone 13 and OnePlus’ Nord CE3 Lite were the highest-shipped 5G models in India last quarter. The researcher said Apple had the highest average selling price of US$ 929 and registered a massive 61% year-on-year growth in sales in India last quarter.
