Ministry of Heavy Industries notified that under Phase-2 of the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME India) Scheme, 766,478 electric vehicles have been supported as of December 19, 2022, with the help of a demand incentive amounting to US$ 400 million (Rs. 3,311 crores).
6,316 e-buses have been sanctioned to 65 cities/State Governments/Central Transmission Utilities (CTUs)/ State Transmission Utilities (STUs) across 26 states/union territories (UTs). The Ministry has also sanctioned 2,877 charging stations in 68 cities across 25 states/UTs under FAME India Scheme Phase-2.
