AppsForBharat raises US$ 4 million seed round

Sequoia Capital India and BEENEXT lead a US$ 4 million seed round for AppsForBharat, a product studio focusing on developing applications for Indian customers' spiritual and religious needs. WEH Ventures was also a participant in the round.
The cash will be utilised largely for product development and the recruitment of IT expertise.
AppsForBharat was founded with the goal of creating a spiritual-tech firm that is tailored to the requirements of Indians. The company is presently working on a number of mobile apps to meet the country's spiritual and devotional requirements. According to the firm, the applications try to bring offline behaviour online and therefore develop a digital habit.
AppsForBharat has a diverse team that has built and scaled applications in sectors such as multimedia, gaming, social, and e-commerce. The firm is searching for product, data, and technical expertise that are interested in becoming a part of this broader digital spiritual revolution.
