Asian Development Bank partners with GOI to provide a US$ 3 million PRF facility

A US$ 3 million project titled “Agartala Municipal Infrastructure Development Project”, signed a Project Readiness Financing (PRF) loan that is agreed by the signatories Mr. Rajat Kumar Mishra, Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and Mr. Takeo Konishi, Country Director of Asian Development Bank (ADB)'s India Resident Mission.

This partnership aims to support the Tripura Government in the development of municipal infrastructure, strengthen future investment-ready projects and improvising resource mobilization of the Agartala municipal Corporation. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) realises Agartala’s significant role in generating economic growth and prosperity in the north-eastern regions. In accordance with the National Urban Digital Mission, the PRF will support, better administration system, prepare detailed project reports and a blueprint for capital formation based on e-governance and digital solutions.
