Bharat Tex 2026, India’s largest global textile event, commenced at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, bringing together over 60,000 buyers, exhibitors and visitors from more than 130 countries. Inaugurating the event, Union Minister of Textiles Mr. Giriraj Singh highlighted Bharat Tex as a global platform aligned with Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s vision of strengthening India’s textile ecosystem and expanding its international footprint. The event showcases India’s capabilities across textiles, fashion, sustainability, technology, innovation, investment and international trade, while providing opportunities for manufacturers, exporters, global buyers, investors, policymakers, artisans, startups and technology providers to strengthen business partnerships. The Minister also noted that Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with various countries are creating new growth opportunities for India’s textile sector, with MSMEs and entrepreneurs playing an increasingly important role in driving exports and industry expansion.
Inspired by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s 5F Vision - Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign, Bharat Tex has evolved into a premier global platform for business collaboration, investment promotion and policy dialogue across the textile value chain. The third edition features around 7,000 buyers, more than 20,000 textile products and international exhibitors from 14 countries, alongside over 350 speakers from more than 20 countries discussing emerging trends, sustainability, innovation and global market opportunities. The event is expected to strengthen India’s position as a preferred global sourcing destination, promote investment across the textile value chain and support the country's ambition of becoming a leading global hub for textile manufacturing, exports and innovation.
