BHEL making India self-reliant in energy, infra; contributing to defence, space sector: Union Heavy Industries Minister Mr. Mahendra Nath Pandey

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), a state-owned engineering firm, has been instrumental in fostering self-reliance in India's energy, infrastructure, defence, and space sectors, according to Union Heavy Industries Minister Mr. Mahendra Nath Pandey. Mr. Pandey inaugurated the newly constructed BHEL Sadan in Noida on BHEL Day, emphasizing the company's pivotal role in diverse domains.

During the ceremony, Mr. Mahendra Nath Pandey underscored Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's call for achieving 'net zero' carbon emissions by 2070. He lauded BHEL's commitment to environmental protection, citing the 18-storey, eco-friendly BHEL Sadan as a symbol of the company's dedication to adopting the latest technology and standards.

Highlighting the building's sustainability features, the Union Heavy Industries Minister, Mr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, noted its integration of a 30-kW solar power system, showcasing BHEL's proactive steps towards embracing green energy. He also commended BHEL's historical contribution to the vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat, emphasizing the company's role in propelling India towards self-sufficiency in energy, infrastructure, defence, and space sectors.
