According to Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minister for Commerce and Industry, structural changes in India's energy sector are driven by policy clarity, ongoing reforms, and strong execution. During his speech to industry stakeholders, he emphasized that a long-term vision and successive years of decisive reforms will lead to energy security, expansion of renewable capacity, and access to affordable power. Mr. Piyush Goyal also stated that ongoing policy consistency, along with investor confidence, is essential for building a resilient and future-ready energy ecosystem to meet India's growth goals.
India's position as a global leader in renewable energy deployment and in reducing dependency on imported products through the creation of durable, sustainable systems powered by Clean Energy. Further adding to this, clean energy initiatives will increase employment rates and increase the domestic manufacturing capability, as well as accelerate growth in capacity addition- within the clean energy sector - for example, Wind, Solar, and Green. The Indian Energy Minister emphasized that the energy progress made in India is indicative of the Government's commitment to maintaining an environmentally sustainable mode of development while advancing economic growth. The Energy Minister also restated that, to achieve long-term energy goals and Climate Goals, continued reform and increased innovation will be required.
