Cabinet approves signing of Contract between India and France to support ITF activities on the Indian Transport Sector

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, France, and the Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), India, signed a contract to support the International Transport Forum's (ITF) activities on the Indian transport sector, and this information was shared with the Union Cabinet, presided over by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.
The activities to be carried out under this Contract will lead to:
- New scientific results
- New policy insights
- Capacity building through increased scientific interaction
- Identification of technology options for decarbonisation of the transport sector in India
