Cabinet has approved metro connectivity from HUDA City Centre to Cyber City, Gurugram with a spur to Dwarka Expressway

The Union Cabinet presided over by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, approved metro connectivity between HUDA City Centre and Cyber City with a spur to Dwarka Expressway, Gurugram. The route is 28.50 km long and has 27 stations and the project completion cost will be US$ 663 million (Rs. 5,452 crore). The spur from Basai village has been provided for connectivity to the depot.

This line's primary function is to link New Gurugram and Old Gurugram. The Indian Railway station will be connected to this network and will offer connectivity to IGI airport in the ensuing phase. Additionally, this will contribute to the area’s overall economic development.

The project is expected to be finished four years from the date of sanction, and it will be implemented by Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited (HMRTC), which will be established as a 50:50 Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of the Governments of India and Haryana after the sanction order is issued.
