Coffee exports grew by 38% in 2021-22 as compared to 2020-21

Minister of State in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ms. Anupriya Patel said that Indian coffee exports spiked by 38% to US$ 1.01 billion during 2021-22. With a global share of 6% of coffee exports, India became the 5th largest exporter in FY22. The Indian coffee exports have spurred from 19.7 thousand tonnes during 1960-61 to 416 thousand tonnes in 2021-22.

The other 4 top coffee exporting countries during 2021-22 are Brazil, exporting 23.70 lakh tonnes, followed by Vietnam exporting 15.48 lakh tonnes, Colombia exporting 7.51 lakh tonnes and Indonesia exporting 4.24 lakh tonnes.
