Defence Ministry working to achieve goal of self-reliance, says Mr. Rajnath Singh

Mr. Rajnath Singh, Minister of Defence, stated that the Ministry of Defence is striving toward achieving self-reliance, while speaking at the workshop of Non-Official Directors of Defence PSUs.
"We (the Ministry of Defence) have agreed to accomplish the goal of 1.75 lakh crore (US$ 22 billion) defence production," Mr. Singh remarked.
By 2024-25, there is an export objective of approximately Rs. 35,000 crore (US$ 4.4 billion), according to Mr. Singh, who also noted that DPSUs would significantly aid in the achievement of the goal and contribute between 70–80%.
