According to data from Quess Corp, the need for personnel with digital capabilities such as testing, platform technologies, Java technologies, cloud infra technologies, and data analytics has increased in the September-November period.

From September to November, the demand for data analytics grew the most, at 454%, compared to the previous three months.

Although demand has increased in actual numbers, the rate of growth from June to July to August 2021 has remained consistent. Nonetheless, the skill combination that contributes to the most demand is still in flux.

As organizations seek resources and staff with niche and super-niche tech skill sets, staffing and recruitment services are in high demand. According to a survey by market intelligence firm UnearthInsight, India's IT services industry is expected to recruit over 450,000 gross employees in the second half of FY22. Unique talent solutions are being developed to serve this manpower stream, ensuring reduced time-to-hire and cost optimization.

The overall need for digital skills in 2021 (April-November) is very similar to the demand in September-November 2021. The IT centres reigned dominant, with Bengaluru leading the pack (40%), Hyderabad (20 %), Pune (18 %), Chennai (10 %), and NCR (5%).

“As the great resignation turns into a great migration, the talent market will change dramatically. We expect to see additional chances emerge in tier 2 cities as borders slowly open. As international borders open and rich offers become available, talent may leave the country. The industry's back-to-office ambitions have been thwarted by Omicron.” said Vijay Sivaram, CEO of Quess IT Staffing.
