The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturer Ather Energy to foster growth and innovation within India’s EV and manufacturing startup ecosystem. This collaboration aims to provide strategic mentorship and infrastructure support to deep-tech startups engaged in the EV value chain, including areas such as battery technology, vehicle manufacturing, and clean energy solutions. By leveraging Ather Energy’s industry expertise and DPIIT’s policy support, the initiative will help startups overcome early-stage challenges, encouraging them to contribute meaningfully to India’s ambitious goals in sustainable mobility and energy security.
