DIGI YATRA IMPLEMENTED AT 13 AIRPORTS

To enhance efficiency during airport security checks, the government is actively improving security measures by deploying advanced technologies and increasing both security equipment and personnel. The implementation of Digi Yatra, a system that facilitates a smooth and convenient experience for passengers through biometric-based travel using Facial Recognition Technology, has been initiated at 13 airports. The expansion of this technology to additional airports will be carried out in a phased manner. This update was provided by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Gen. (Dr) V. K. Singh (Retd), in response to a question in the Lok Sabha.
