Digital India boosting connectivity, numbers of digital entrepreneurs: Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi stated that 4G connectivity has heralded a new dawn in the North East, and that Digital India's expansion of internet access to communities has supported digital entrepreneurs. During the ongoing "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" in this month of India's 75th anniversary of independence, he claimed in his monthly broadcast 'Mann Ki Baat' that "Amrit Dhara" was pouring in every part of the country.

He mentioned the Jorsing village in Arunachal Pradesh receiving 4G internet services on Independence Day, as an example of improving digital connection in rural parts of the country. He listed several examples from around the country of people using online resources to grow their businesses.

The prime minister also emphasised the innovative ways used to combat malnutrition in various states. He praised millets' nutritional benefits after the United Nations accepted India's proposal to declare 2023 the International Year of Millets. The prime minister stated that it has been his goal to serve cuisines produced from Indian millets to international visitors to India.
