Domestic sales of PVs, three-wheelers, and two-wheelers jumped in June: SIAM

In the local market, sales of passenger vehicles, three-wheelers, and two-wheelers rose last month due to an uptick in economic activity and persistent consumer demand.
According to the data released by the industry group Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), 327,487 passenger vehicles (PV) were sold in the last month, an increase of 2% above the 320,985 units sold during the same time the previous year.
In the month under consideration, three-wheeler sales increased by almost double to 53,019 units.
Furthermore, motorcycle sales increased 7% to 908,954 units in June in the two-wheeler segment.
