Ease of Living for Pensioners through Digital Empowerment: DLC Campaign 3.0 Achieves Milestones – 1.30 Crore DLCs Generated

The Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) has completed the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 3.0, aimed at simplifying the submission process for digital life certificates, especially for super senior pensioners. This initiative, which ran from November 1-30, 2024, achieved significant milestones through innovative technologies and collaboration with various stakeholders, including pension disbursing banks, the Ministry of Railways, and the UIDAI. The DoPPW expressed gratitude to all involved for their efforts in making the campaign successful, highlighting the importance of teamwork in improving pensioners' welfare across the country.

The DLC Campaign 3.0 generated 1.30 crore digital life certificates, with over 39 lakhs created using Face Authentication Technology, marking a 200-fold increase from the previous campaign. Notably, more than 8 lakh certificates were submitted by pensioners aged 80 and above, with India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) providing doorstep services. The campaign aimed for complete coverage nationwide, ensuring no pensioner was left behind, particularly those in underserved areas. With extensive media outreach reaching over 122 million people, the initiative aligns with the Digital India vision, empowering senior citizens to submit DLCs conveniently from their homes.
