Engineering, telecom, healthcare to add 12 mn new jobs by FY26: Report

According to a report by TeamLease Digital, the engineering, telecom, and healthcare sectors are likely to add around 12 million new jobs by FY26, with the total employment generated by these three industries increasing from 4.56 million to 9.03 million.

The report digs into specialised occupations, the most in-demand skills, the skills gap and actions taken by employers to close it, as well as market median pay for these roles. It also examines the impact of technological advancements and digitization on employment in the three sectors.

Engineering, communications, and healthcare will all contribute more to GDP in the next five years, spurred on by the Government’s PLI schemes and substantial FDI inflows.
