India and the US plan to start major combat exercise - which will be taking place in Rajasthan next week. After Mr. Biden administration took charge in Washington, this is the first bilateral wargames to be conducted.
Indian Officials stated ‘Yudh Abhyas’ will take place in Mahajan Field Firing ranges from February 8th to 21st.
US contingent for Yudh Abhyas comprises of battalion group of around 250 soldiers & brigade headquarters while India will include brigade headquarters and a battalion group from the Jammu and Kashmir.
Yudh Abhyas will be followed by Vajra Prahar’ land combat exercise in March.
India deployed a long-range Poseidon-8I maritime patrol aircraft and other personnel for the `Sea Dragon’ submarine fighting activity with the US, Japan, Australia and Canada from January 14 to 27 in Guam. The aim was to reinforce interoperability among accomplice countries for "provincial possibilities".
A year ago, India combined four "essential military settlements" with the Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement for Geospatial Cooperation (BECA).
US captured Indian Force deal amounted ~US$ 21 billion since 2007. In February 2020, the latest deal was signed in the presence of former President Donald Trump for the 24 MH-60 ‘Romeo’ multirole naval helicopters and six more Apache.
