Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of Culture and Parliamentary Affairs, launched the 'Pramarsh 2022' career counselling programme for school children in the Bikaner District region. One lakh pupils from over a thousand schools across the Bikaner district, mostly from rural areas, took part in this session.
The workshop was conducted by educational start-up Edumilestones with the support of The National Institute of Career Services (NICS) which comes under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, and the Directorate of Education, Rajasthan. For a smooth and meaningful execution of the entire programme, 1000 teachers were trained as career ambassadors across multiple Bikaner schools.
The Minister stated that the ongoing technological changes and digital transformation have made it necessary to change the curriculum and learning methodology of students. The emerging trend of successful startups turning into unicorns is a huge source of inspiration for the kids of this generation.
The workshop played host to several experts from various fields such as policy planning, industry associations, art, culture, media, medicine, architecture, biotechnology, finance, and marketing.
