Free trade agreements (FTAs) with the developed world an important agenda of Modi government: Mr. Piyush Goyal

According to Union Minister for Textiles, Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, and Food & Public Distribution, Mr. Piyush Goyal the textile industry is crucial to the success of free trade agreements. He claimed that FTAs with developed countries are high on the agenda of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s government.

According to him, India's journey toward becoming a developed nation will be marked by innovation. He emphasised the importance of innovation in the textile industry across all value chains and urged the industry to concentrate on recycling and digitization. According to him, the industry can expand quickly and compete with the finest in the world if it concentrates on innovation, sustainability, digitization, novel products, and the adoption of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
