Despite global uncertainties, India's readymade garment exports increased by 11.4% to US$ 9.85 billion (Rs. 83,607 crore) during April-November of FY25. This growth highlights the strong global demand for Made-in-India products, according to the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC). The AEPC noted that with shifting geopolitical dynamics, more businesses are expected to move to India shortly. The robust performance also reflects the rising trust of international brands in Indian products, particularly during the festive season.

AEPC Chairperson Mr. Sudhir Sekhri emphasised India's competitive advantages, including its strong policy framework at both the central and state levels, an extensive value chain, a solid raw material base, and factories committed to sustainable business practices. He expressed confidence that India would experience significant growth in the coming years. He encouraged international buyers to visit India and participate in the Bharat Tex Expo 2025, a major event highlighting India's entire textile value chain. The AEPC has already received a positive response from international buyers and retail chains during its Bharat Tex Roadshow, with the expectation that the expo will foster collaboration and expand sourcing networks while promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) in India.
