Germany is expected to invest 5 lakh euros (US$ 508,565) in India to promote tourism seeing the global tourism industry recover as the pandemic eases out. India is one of the top 20 priority markets for Germany, and around 9.6 lakh travellers visited India in 2019.

The German National Tourist Office seeks to market Germany as a vacation spot for Indian tourists who are interested in culture, families, and active vacationers. 9% of Indian visitors travelling to Europe made their way to Germany, and while 38% travel there on business, 55% come for leisure.

The "German.Local.Culture." and "Embrace German Nature" campaigns will promote genuine, regional experiences in metropolitan locations while incorporating rural areas' sustainable tourist offerings and scenic attractions.

By the end of 2024, the Indian outbound tourism market is expected to reach US$ 42 billion, according to ResearchAndMarkets.com.
