Goods and services exports may reach US$ 1 trillion each by 2030: Mr. Piyush Goyal

In 2021-22, India’s goods and services exports reached an all-time high of US$ 422 billion and US$ 254 billion, respectively. From April-January 2022, merchandise exports increased by 8.5%, amounting to US$ 369.25 billion and service exports touched US$ 272 billion.

The Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal remarked that the IT-driven services sector has created potential not only in terms of jobs but also by offering India a chance to present its strengths to the rest of the world as every nation wants to invest in India because of its transparent start-up ecosystem. He also said that by 2030, the merchandise exports will grow between 8- 9.5% and the service exports will grow between 16-17%, projecting the value of goods at US$ 1 trillion and the value of service exports at US$ 1 trillion in the next 7 years.
