Government Highlights Youth-Led Development and Growing Innovation Ecosystem

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi highlighted the Government’s strong focus on youth-led development, stating that one of the defining features of the past 12 years has been the confidence with which India’s youth have pursued their aspirations. He noted that initiatives such as Startup India, Digital India, Skill India and the Atal Innovation Mission have helped create an ecosystem that encourages innovation, entrepreneurship and enterprise across the country. These initiatives have contributed to the emergence of India as one of the world’s leading startup destinations, with young entrepreneurs increasingly driving innovation and business growth from both urban centres and smaller towns and villages. The Prime Minister emphasised that the country’s youth are playing a key role in advancing economic development and strengthening India’s position in emerging sectors through their entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and technological capabilities.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the growing contribution of young Indians across sectors such as science and technology, manufacturing, space, semiconductors and drones, noting that their efforts are helping shape the future of both India and the global economy. He further underlined the achievements of Indian youth in sports, where athletes have consistently enhanced the country’s standing through strong performances in international competitions. According to him, a stronger sporting ecosystem, improved infrastructure and greater support for athletes are creating new opportunities for young talent and encouraging wider participation in sports. The continued focus on innovation, skill development, entrepreneurship and sports is expected to strengthen India’s demographic dividend and support the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The progress achieved over the past decade reflects the growing role of India’s youth as key contributors to economic growth, technological advancement and national development.
