India is also aggressively pursuing efforts to establish itself as the global ‘one-stop destination’ for medical value travel. Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mr. Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed the 8th Advantage Healthcare India in New Delhi, emphasising that medical value travel is becoming an increasingly important area of international cooperation in the global healthcare domain. This is helping to strengthen people-to-people ties and build global confidence in the Indian healthcare system. It was further noted that the Indian healthcare system combines highly qualified personnel with modern infrastructure, which makes it possible to provide high-quality care in such areas as cardiology, oncology, organ transplants, orthopedics, and neurosciences. The government recognizes this not only as an opportunity in the healthcare domain but also as a platform to expand its global influence and demonstrate its clinical excellence and standards of patient care.
The statement underscored that the medical value travel industry in India operates on globally standardized parameters, with a strong focus on good governance and quality care delivery. Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Mr. Prataprao Jadhav further clarified that the healthcare system has developed into a dynamic and integrated system with support from digital health innovations, a robust pharmaceutical base, and growing institutional infrastructure. It was also emphasized that the combination of cutting-edge medical expertise and technology-driven healthcare solutions is making India an increasingly attractive destination for patients across the globe. As the government continues to promote healthcare collaboration and innovation, the healthcare sector is poised to strengthen India’s global reputation as a reliable destination for accessible and high-quality medical care, while also enhancing the country’s healthcare diplomacy and economic engagement with global partners.
