Ms Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Minister of Finance and Minister of Corporate Affairs stated that the government is working to ensure that India has at least 75 digital banking facilities shortly. She said that the Union Government has taken various futuristic steps in the Budget. The budget focused on development through enhancing and establishing digital infrastructure in the country. She also added that the government is working to ensure that India is ready to be on the cutting edge of technology in the next 25 years by implementing technology in numerous industries and making India digitally ready.
She said that digital infrastructure would benefit many industries such as agriculture, medicine, and education. It will bring education to people in far-flung parts of the country through a digital university that the government plans to establish.
