According to Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Textiles Mr. Piyush Goyal, the nation's handcraft exports have been constantly increasing and are superior to anything produced by machinery.
The Minister stated that with India set to take over the G20 presidency on December 1, there would be plenty of opportunities to showcase the nation's rich heritage of handicraft and handloom products to various foreign dignitaries. Indian handcrafted goods are a prime example of an independent India, and all artisans are working hard to make India "Atmanirbhar," according to him. He also stated that, efforts must be made to create an inclusive society in India by 2047.
