Havells India Ltd launches anti-bacterial/anti-fungal switch range for a healthy home

Havells India Ltd launched anti-bacterial/anti-fungal switches under its Crabtree electric switch range.

These new innovative switch range named Athena, Signia and Verona inhibit the growth and spread of harmful microbes across human touch with 99.99 per cent efficacy.

The switch range, priced at Rs 75 (US$ 1.06) onwards, will help consumers in leading a healthy life by avoiding bacteria led diseases like food poisoning, pneumonia, conjunctivitis, etc.

The company’s release said, following the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, it has become imperative to ensure hygiene and control infection in hospitals, hotels, institutes, homes, etc. more than ever.

These switches use metal compounds that are more effective than metal oxides and other metal complexes and have higher efficacy as compared to silver ions to contain the growth of bacteria and fungi.

Also, the new range of switches provides a long-lasting usage with good weatherability that guarantees non-discoloration under high temp and humidity. The base material has received approval from FDA, ECHA, and EPA and has also been tested by the third-party labs such as JIS and ISO.

Crabtree is celebrating its 100 years of legacy in 2020 and thus, the brand will not charge premium price for the added feature.
