Indian IT services firm HCLTech has announced a multi-year strategic collaboration with OpenAI, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) research and deployment company, positioning itself as one of OpenAI’s first strategic services partners for enterprise AI transformation. Leveraging its deep industry knowledge and AI engineering expertise, HCLTech aims to enable its clients to rapidly deploy scalable generative AI (GenAI) solutions by integrating OpenAI’s leading AI product portfolio with its own foundational and applied AI offerings. Global Chief Technology Officer and Head of Ecosystems at HCLTech, Mr. Vijay Guntur, stated that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering Global 2000 enterprises with transformative AI solutions, driving a new era of AI-powered transformation across HCLTech’s offerings and operations worldwide.
As part of the collaboration, HCLTech will embed OpenAI’s models and solutions across its industry-focused platforms, including AI Force, AI Foundry, AI Engineering, and various AI accelerators. This integration is designed to help clients modernise business processes, improve customer and employee experiences, and unlock new growth opportunities through the entire AI lifecycle—from readiness assessments to enterprise-scale adoption, governance, and change management. Internally, HCLTech will deploy ChatGPT Enterprise and OpenAI APIs to equip employees with secure, enterprise-grade generative AI tools.
