Hero MotoCorp Ltd. will work with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. to build charging stations for two-wheeler electric vehicles (EVs) across the country.
Hero MotoCorp has become the first automotive OEM to partner with a major PSU to build charging infrastructure across the country. Following this, the two companies may expand their relationship to create a bigger partnership inside the EV ecosystem and related business verticals.
Charging stations will be installed in nine cities in the first phase, beginning with Delhi and Bengaluru. All two-wheeled EVs will be able to use the charging stations, which will include multiple charging options including DC and AC chargers. The network will then be expanded across the country with the goal of creating a dense network of charging stations.
A Hero MotoCorp smartphone app will manage the entire user charging experience, and it will be a cashless transaction.
