IEW’24 expected to witness 17 Energy ministers from different countries, 35,000+ attendees, and over 900 exhibitors: Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing & Urban Affairs, Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri

Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing & Urban Affairs, Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri, anticipates positive growth in India's energy sector at the upcoming India Energy Week (IEW) in Goa from February 6th to 9th, 2024. IEW is set to host 17 energy ministers, 35,000+ attendees, and over 900 exhibitors, including dedicated pavilions for six countries. The 2nd Edition, with a 30% increase in scale, features a special Make in India Pavilion showcasing 300+ exhibitors. IEW'24 marks a one-year milestone with an 81% rise in private sponsorship and a 44% increase in revenue. The event lasts four days, offering 46 strategic and 46 technical sessions, double the previous Edition. Technical sessions include new categories aligned with domestic priorities, and Avinya, an Energy startup challenge, selected five startups from 120 applications. IEW sidelines events cover Global South Cooperation, Carbon Capture and Utilisation, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's roundtable with Oil and Gas CEOs, India-US investment roundtables, and a focus on the energy value chain. Mr. Puri emphasizes the importance of biofuels and green hydrogen in India's economic growth, targeting a 5 trillion GDP by fiscal year 2025.
