The Indian stock market's contribution to global market capitalisation (m-cap) has surpassed 4% for the first time. The share has increased 74% in a single year as a result of the domestic market's notable year-over-year outperformance of its international counterparts.

It's interesting to note that even though the domestic benchmark indices Nifty50 and Sensex achieved all-time highs in October 2021, India's share was only 2.3%. The global m-cap is US$ 92.8 trillion, which is 24% less than its peak of US$ 122 trillion in November 2021. The world's largest market has experienced a US$ 13 trillion (25%) decline, with m-cap falling to US$ 40 trillion from US$ 54 trillion in November last year.
