In October 2023, the total amount of coal production reached 78.65 MT

October 2023 saw a significant increase in the total amount of coal produced by the Ministry of Coal, which reached 78.65 million tonnes (MT) in comparison to 66.32 MT in the same month the previous year, registering an 18.59% increase.

Coal India Limited (CIL) has seen a surge in output of 15.36%, from 52.94 MT in October 2022 to 61.07 MT in October of this year. Up until October 2023, the total amount of coal produced increased significantly, from 448.49 MT in FY23 to 507.02 MT in FY24, registering a 13.05% growth rate.

Moreover, coal dispatch increased significantly in October 2023, rising to a remarkable 79.30 MT, demonstrating remarkable advancement over the 67.13MT recorded in October 2022, with a growth rate of 18.14%.

A noteworthy accomplishment was shown by the dispatch of Coal India Limited (CIL), which increased by 14.83% to 61.65 MT in October 2023 from 53.69 MT in October 2022. By October 2023, the cumulative coal dispatch (up to October 2023) had increased by 11.98% to 541.73 MT in FY24 from 483.78 MT in FY23.
