While addressing an event organized by the Federation of India Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Union Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari said that India is the fastest-growing major economy in the world and is all set to achieve US$ 5 trillion Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2024-25. He added that the central government is aiming to boost growth and employment to achieve sustainable development.
The minister stated that India will play an active role in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and that increment in exports along with a reduction in imports is needed. "We are also working on developing alternative, clean and green fuels like bioethanol, bio-CNG, bio-LNG, and green hydrogen," and further added to focus on the reduction in the cost of construction is his focus.
