India has become one of the top three markets for visitor arrivals in Singapore, with 1.2 million Indians visiting the city-state in 2024, according to the Singapore Tourism Board (STB). The top two markets were China, with 3.08 million arrivals, and Indonesia, with 2.49 million. Overall, international visitor arrivals to Singapore have steadily recovered, rising by 21% to 16.5 million in 2024, though still below the pre-pandemic peak of 19.1 million in 2019. Along with the top markets, countries like Japan, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States also demonstrated healthy YoY growth.

Tourism receipts for the year are expected to reach between Rs. 1,765.31 crore (SGD 27.5 billion) and Rs. 1,861.82 crore (SGD 29 billion), with Rs. 1,437.96 crore (SGD 22.4 billion) already recorded by September 2024, a 10% increase from the same period in 2023. The STB credited the tourism sector's strong performance to refreshed products, new collaborations, and high-profile events, including world-class concerts by Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift, which provided significant economic benefits and enhanced Singapore's global brand. These events positively affected related sectors like retail, dining, and hospitality, further boosting Singapore’s tourism appeal and competitiveness.
