India and Poland have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation across trade, defence, counterterrorism and disaster management during Polish Prime Minister Mr. Donald Tusk’s official visit to India from October 21 to 23, 2026. The two countries set a target of doubling bilateral trade by 2030 and announced the establishment of a Defence Industry Dialogue to deepen cooperation in the defence sector. They also agreed to hold a dialogue on counterterrorism, creating an additional avenue for bilateral security cooperation. Another key outcome was Poland’s decision to join the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), strengthening collaboration in disaster resilience and management.
The visit is expected to advance cooperation in trade and investment, defence, emerging technologies, renewable energy, education, culture and people-to-people ties, while deepening the India-European Union strategic partnership. Following engagements in New Delhi, the Polish Prime Minister is scheduled to travel to Bengaluru to interact with business stakeholders, including representatives from the information technology and space sectors. India-Poland Business Forums are scheduled to take place in New Delhi on October 22 and Bengaluru on October 23, providing platforms to explore trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
