According to G20 Sherpa, Mr. Amitabh Kant, with the favourable weather, India can rethink its economic strategy and become the first nation to industrialise without carbon emissions.
Speaking at an event in the nation's capital, Mr. Kant also voiced assurance that the nation, which has a young population, will experience faster growth. According to him, the world is open to India, and there is no reason why the country should not grow at a faster pace.
Mr. Kant emphasised the necessity of going green, stating that if countries do not become green, they will "neither be able to export to the markets, and this is all going to happen before our eyes in the next 5 years".
He also stated at the SHRM India Annual Conference 2023 that India has perfect weather conditions and can go green to rethink its growth model in order to "become the first country in the world to industrialise without carbonising."
During a discussion of his book 'Made in India: 75 Years of Business and Enterprise,' Mr. Kant stated that India is the only country with a young population, with an average age of 28 years.
Mr Kant said, “My view is that… India has grown at high rates, and it should continue to do so”.
