India, Canada Reaffirm Commitment to Expedite CEPA Negotiations to Strengthen Economic Ties

Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal held a meeting with Canada’s Minister of International Trade Mr. Maninder Sidhu to discuss advancing negotiations on the proposed India-Canada Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expediting the negotiations and concluding the agreement at the earliest. The proposed CEPA is expected to create new opportunities across trade in goods and services, investment and other areas of economic cooperation. The agreement is aimed at strengthening commercial engagement between India and Canada and expanding opportunities for businesses in both countries.
