Skoda aims to nearly triple its car sales in India to over 100,000 units and make it one of its top three markets by 2025. This ambition is supported by the launch of its affordable SUV, Kylaq, priced at Rs 7.89 lakh (US$ 9118.49) (ex-showroom), and the upcoming introduction of its electric vehicle (EV). The company also leverages locally available auto parts to ensure reasonable service costs. According to Skoda's Global Board Member for Sales and Marketing, India, Mr. Martin Jahn is now the most important foreign market for the brand after its slowdown in China. Despite a 26.3% decline in sales in 2024, selling 36,000 units, Skoda expects significant growth, aiming for a top five market position, potentially even top three, by the end of 2025.

Skoda also focuses on expanding its exports to key regions, including the Middle East, North Africa, and Australia. The company plans to introduce its first electric car in India this year. However, depending on evolving customer sentiment and government regulations, the decision between Enyaq and the more affordable Elroc is still being made. Skoda is also working on making servicing more affordable, thanks to locally sourced auto parts. The brand offers models like the Slavia sedan, Kushaq SUV, and Kodiaq SUV in India. It is also considering introducing plug-in hybrids if supported by favourable government policies. Skoda is investing in its transformation with a balance between growth and profitability, avoiding drastic measures to increase market share in India.
