As part of its humanitarian support, India delivered a new batch of medical supplies to Afghanistan. Consignments of medical aid were delivered to Kabul's Indira Gandhi Hospital. The 10th batch of medical aid was sent as part of India's ongoing humanitarian support, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). In response to the United Nations' urgent requests to assist the Afghan people, India has so far provided 32 tonnes of medical aid in ten batches. The supplies contained life-saving pharmaceuticals, anti-TB medications, and 500,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, among other things.
India has been advocating for unrestricted humanitarian aid to Afghanistan in order to ease the country's humanitarian problems. India has communicated with numerous world leaders on the situation in Afghanistan. India re-established its diplomatic presence in Kabul in June by deploying a "technical team" to its embassy there.
