India delivers over 400,000 metric tonnes of fuel to Sri Lanka amid crisis

During the worst economic crisis in Sri Lanka's history, India took yet another attempt to provide assistance, sending 12 shipments and over 400,000 Metric Tonnes (MT) of petroleum to the island nation. The consignment was announced by the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka. India provided 65,000 metric tonnes of urea to the island nation as part of its assistance.

Furthermore, since the beginning of the year, India has offered to supply the debt-ridden island country with approximately US$ 3 billion in loans, credit swaps, and credit lines. India has also stated its willingness to collaborate with the new Sri Lankan government.
