Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Piyush Goyal, addressing the 30th CII Partnership Summit 2025 in Visakhapatnam, said India has emerged as a trusted global partner powered by semiconductors, clean energy, and innovation-led industries. He credited policy stability, sustainability, and trust as the core drivers of India’s economic rise. He praised Andhra Pradesh for its strong contribution to the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. Highlighting a major leap in aerospace and unmanned systems, he announced India’s first Drone City at Orvakal in Kurnool district. Developed with the Andhra Pradesh government, the 300-acre hub will create over 40,000 jobs and host the world’s largest common drone testing facility, offering an integrated ecosystem for manufacturing, R&D, testing, and repairs. Andhra Pradesh’s growing strength across green hydrogen, semiconductors, electronics, coastal logistics, and defence was also showcased at the Summit.
National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) outlined its roadmap for next-generation Greenfield Industrial Smart Cities across Krishnapatnam, Orvakal, and Kopparthy, positioned along key industrial corridors to support advanced manufacturing, logistics, and Industry 5.0 capabilities. CEO & MD of NICDC, Mr. Rajat Kumar Saini, emphasised digital infrastructure, renewable energy, and automation as central to India’s future-ready industrial ecosystems. Strong participation at the NICDC pavilion reflected global investor interest in Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP), the Logistics Data Bank, India Industrial Land Bank, and PM MITRA Parks. Through these initiatives and large-scale industrial city development under multiple corridors, NICDC is driving India’s shift toward sustainable, technology-integrated, and globally competitive industrial growth.
