The promotion of safe and orderly migration with cooperation to facilitate the mobility of professionals, students, and skilled workforce were topics of discussion during the 6th high-level dialogue between India and the European Union on migration and mobility.

Mr. Ausaf Sayeed, the secretary for consular, passport, and visa in the Ministry of External Affairs, and Ms. Monique Pariat, the director general for migration and home affairs in the European Commission, served as co-chairs of the discussion.

The Common Agenda on Migration and Mobility (CAMM), which was agreed by both parties during the last edition in 2019, was also supported by both parties.

Reaffirming the shared commitment to facilitating people's movement between India and the European Union for mutual benefit while ensuring better management of these migration flows and mobility, including the prevention and combating of irregular immigration, were some of the points covered in the agreement.
