India fastest growing economy during the last three financial years: Union Finance Minister, Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman

Union Finance Minister, Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman, affirmed India's status as the fastest-growing economy over the past three consecutive financial years, highlighting the potential for sustained growth in the foreseeable future. Speaking at a dialogue program with industrialists and businessmen, she underscored the criticality of the next 25 years for India's trajectory.

Highlighting India's economic performance, she noted an eight percent growth rate in the first three quarters of the financial year 2024, with expectations of a similar level of growth in the fourth quarter. She attributed this sustainable growth to a combination of factors, including foreign investor confidence in India's economic credibility. Pointing to economic policies, macroeconomic stability, consistent taxation policies, and transparent procurement processes, she emphasized the significant credibility India enjoys on the global stage, which is attracting foreign investments.
