India has signed 13 FTAs, six preferential pacts so far, says Union Minister

Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Ms. Anupriya Patel informed that India has signed 13 free trade agreements (FTAs) and six preferential pacts so far with the trading partners, to ensure greater market access for domestic goods and to promote exports. 

Recently, three such agreements have been signed with Mauritius, the UAE and Australia. Some FTA negotiations with the trading partners including UK, European Union, and Canada are also ongoing. For a proposed trade pact, six rounds of negotiations have been held so far between India and the UK.
