India is a shining light in the world economy, according to Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Textiles, Mr. Piyush Goyal. He was speaking in Mumbai at the 21st World Congress of Accountants.
According to the Union Commerce Minister, India has shown that it has the leadership, resources, and expertise needed to steer the world through the current instability, ambiguity, complexity, and volatility. "Despite the problems posed by the pandemic, very sensible measures were taken to support the Indian economy, with a strong emphasis on the macroeconomic fundamentals. All societal segments' inclusive well-being was a priority for our government."
He stated that our goal is to bring wealth to every Indian by the year 2047 and to make India a developed country by that time. "As we celebrate our 100th anniversary of independence, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and the people of India have envisioned a future in which we hope to see India as a developed country."
