India is on a high-growth trajectory to achieve its development goals by 2047: Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing & Urban Affairs, Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri

During the inauguration of the REVA University Centre of Excellence for Geopolitics and International Studies in Bengaluru, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing & Urban Affairs, Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri, commended India's resilience amid global economic challenges, citing a robust 7.3% growth rate over the first three quarters of the current fiscal year. He projected India's ascent to the third-largest economy, building on its position as the world's fifth-largest. He attributed this success to transformative governance policies, lifting over 25 crore people from multidimensional poverty, reducing health expenditures by 25%, and achieving milestones in housing, sanitation, and various social welfare schemes.

He highlighted India's soft power and global vision and emphasized the importance of understanding India's position in the 21st-century global landscape. Inaugurating the Centre of Excellence, he envisioned it as a valuable platform fostering intellectual curiosity and thought-provoking discussions on geopolitics and international studies among scholars, professionals, decision-makers, and emerging leaders.
