India is ready to assist Suriname in progress and development: President Ms. Draupadi Murmu

According to President Ms. Draupadi Murmu, who emphasised the strong historical and cultural ties between India and Suriname, India will impart its experiences and offer assistance to Suriname in its progress and development.
She emphasised the advancements made by India in a number of fields, such as infrastructure, digital services, new technology, and fintech.
Ms. Draupadi Murmu and Mr. Chandrikapersad Santokhi, her Surinamese colleague, expressed their commitment to advancing bilateral ties and enhancing collaboration between the two nations.
Despite their geographical distance from one another, Suriname and India share the same history and civilization. Indians have a very particular place in their hearts for Suriname and the Surinamese people, she added.
Further, the Indian diaspora in Suriname was praised by the President for contributing significantly to the political, social, and economic growth of the nation.
