According to Ookla's monthly Speed test Global Index, India has improved its standing from 118th place in September of last year to 66th place globally for median mobile speeds.
In March, the UAE topped the chart for overall worldwide median mobile speeds, while Côte d'Ivoire experienced the fastest climb in ranks, rising 19 spots.
In terms of fixed broadband download speeds, Singapore maintained its top spot in March, while Vanuatu, a country in the Pacific, moved up 16 places.
